Research Interests
I have a strong interest in incorporating community ecology concepts into restoration ecology. Terrestrial invertebrates provide many of these vital ecosystem processes (pollination, nutrient cycling and many more) and are crucial to the biodiversity and functionality of an ecosystem – yet are often overlooked in restoration projects.
As such I want to maximise the effectiveness of restoration programs, through incorporating knowledge of these systems. In the long term, I would like to improve the success of restoration projects and how we monitor them.
